A current listing of all support groups, education events and fundraisers for Alzheimer Society of Durham Region (ASDR)

Please note: In addition to the following groups and events, ASDR offers Early Stage Support Groups for persons in the early stages of Alzheimer Disease or a related dementia and their care partners. CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUPS

For family / care partners to meet together and exchange ideas in a supportive environment. Support groups are facilitated by Family Support staff.

Ajax-Pickering Caregiver Support Group

10:00a.m. to 12:00p.m.
2nd Wednesday of the month
Pickering Village United Church,
300 Church St. North, Ajax

From Kingston Rd, go north on Church St. The church is on west side of Church St. The group meets in the lounge off the main entrance inside the church.

Ajax-Pickering Caregiver Support Group

6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
4th Wednesday of the month

In the Victoria Harbour Lounge

Enter parking lot off of Valley Farm Rd. Enter through the doors with the Orchard Villa Canopy. Victoria Harbour Lounge is the first door on the right.

East Durham Caregiver Support Group

Liberty Street can be accessed from both the 401 and Hwy 2. Follow hospital signs. Go in main entrance of Hospital and follow signs to Lambert Conference Room.

North Durham Caregiver Support Group

Oshawa-Whitby Caregiver Support Group

East side of Cochrane Street, which runs north from Highway 2 and west of the four corners in Whitby (Brock Street and Dundas/Highway 2) next to Fairview Lodge.
